The clear winner from the 7 easiest languages to learn is spanish. everything from writing, grammar, and speaking will come more naturally to the english speaker. similar rules, structure, and latin roots.. The easiest language for a native spanish speaker to learn will be totally different than the easiest language for a native vietnamese speaker, and it can even differ vastly between two native english speakers from the same region but who have different learning styles.. German is a hard language to learn so it would be ranked under hard with russian , greece and others but chinese/japan and korean is indeed harder although german used to be the world hardest language.
The romance languages, derived from latin are fairly similar in verb tenses and so forth, but i would say italian and portuguese would be the easiest for a native spanish speaker to learn. i can read some italian, and my native language is english..
